Adams kart Track 5/13/01

Not much to report this month, except my killer wreck in front of the snack bar. I got off the track and had to crash it or risk cutting someone off coming back onto the track. So I put it down, and the gas tank got ripped off the YSR! Got it fixed in time to race though. As usual, I ran Am stock (6th overall) and Vets Stock (69th overall or something). We got screwed in the Vets class because 30 of us entered and so they split us up into two qalifying races, then a final. The only problem was, instead of running two qualifiers and then forming the final race on lap times, it was the 10 best from each of the heats. So the 1st heat was all the fast guys and the 2nd heat all the slower guys. Myself and 4 other guys losts the "fast" Vets heat. So 10 of the slow guys ended up qualifying ahead of 5 guys that were faster than them. LAME!! But what can you do. They took pity on us and gave us a "slow" Vets final. I had my best race of the day in that race. Go figure.
